Several hours away, in Bejuma, a small town in the High Valleys of the Carabobo state, the community decided that the best way to accompany to the affected families was to open their homes, their hands and their hearts to collect everything that might be needed in the disaster area. Founded in the XIX century thanks to the generosity of the families who donated his own land to lift it up, maintained until today, that spirit of closeness and mutual aid. It was just such a character that was put to the test \u2014and came out strengthened\u2014 when the team <strong>Casa de Pan,<\/strong> he called the neighbors of the town to join in a day of collecting donations for the families of La Guaira.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">The answer was not long in coming. Neighbors from different sectors of Bejuma, local businesses, families and co-workers close to the foundation came up with food, clothes, shoes, personal hygiene items, bottled water, and medicines, each one contributing with what you had at your fingertips. Behind each box, which finally arrived in La Guaira, there was a careful work and little visible that the team of House of Bread, took on responsibility: logistics.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">The foundation staff is in charge of coordinating a collection point in Bejuma, where each donation was received, classified, and reviewed before being packaged<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">This process included:<\/p><ul dir=\"ltr\"><li><strong>Classification by category<\/strong>: to separate food, clothing, footwear, medicines and hygiene items, to facilitate its posterior distribution according to the specific needs of each family in La Guaira.<\/li><li><strong>Verification of conditions<\/strong>check : check that the foods are within your date of consumption, that the clothes were in good condition and which medicines to keep their packaging, and effective, ensuring that all the goods may be delivered with dignity.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div Un pueblo peque\u00f1o, un gesto grande Bejuma es, ante todo, un pueblo de tradici\u00f3n y comunidad. Fundado en el siglo XIX gracias a la generosidad de familias que donaron sus propias tierras para levantarlo, mantiene hasta hoy ese esp\u00edritu de cercan\u00eda y ayuda mutua. Fue justamente ese car\u00e1cter el que se puso a prueba \u2014y sali\u00f3 fortalecido\u2014 cuando el equipo de Casa de Pan convoc\u00f3 a los vecinos de la localidad a sumarse a una jornada de recolecci\u00f3n de donaciones destinadas a las familias de La Guaira. La respuesta no se hizo esperar. Vecinos de distintos sectores de Bejuma, comercios locales, familias completas y colaboradores cercanos a la fundaci\u00f3n se acercaron con alimentos, ropa, calzado, art\u00edculos de higiene personal, agua embotellada y medicinas, cada quien aportando lo que ten\u00eda a su alcance. En cuesti\u00f3n de d\u00edas, lo que comenz\u00f3 como un llamado puntual se transform\u00f3 en un verdadero movimiento comunitario. La log\u00edstica: el trabajo silencioso detr\u00e1s de cada caja Recibir donaciones es solo el primer paso. Detr\u00e1s de cada caja que finalmente lleg\u00f3 a La Guaira hubo un trabajo cuidadoso y poco visible que el equipo de Casa de Pan asumi\u00f3 con responsabilidad: la log\u00edstica. El personal de la fundaci\u00f3n se encarg\u00f3 de coordinar un punto de acopio en Bejuma, donde cada donaci\u00f3n era recibida, clasificada y revisada antes de ser embalada Este proceso incluy\u00f3: Clasificaci\u00f3n por categor\u00eda: separar alimentos, ropa, calzado, medicinas y art\u00edculos de higiene, para facilitar su distribuci\u00f3n posterior seg\u00fan las necesidades espec\u00edficas de cada familia en La Guaira. Verificaci\u00f3n de condiciones: revisar que los alimentos estuvieran dentro de su fecha de consumo, que la ropa estuviera en buen estado y que las medicinas conservaran su empaque y vigencia, garantizando que todo lo recolectado pudiera entregarse con dignidad. Embalaje y organizaci\u00f3n para el traslado: preparar cada donaci\u00f3n de forma que resistiera el trayecto entre Carabobo y La Guaira, optimizando el espacio para poder movilizar la mayor cantidad de ayuda posible en cada viaje. Este trabajo de log\u00edstica, aunque menos visible que la entrega final, fue tan importante como la propia recolecci\u00f3n: asegur\u00f3 que cada donaci\u00f3n llegara a su destino en condiciones \u00f3ptimas y que ninguna familia recibiera algo que no pudiera usar. Una alianza entre la fundaci\u00f3n y la comunidad Lo que distingue a esta jornada es que no fue un esfuerzo exclusivo de Casa de Pan, sino una alianza genuina entre la fundaci\u00f3n y la comunidad de Bejuma. De Bejuma a La Guaira: cerrando la distancia con solidaridad Una vez organizadas, clasificadas y revisadas, las donaciones recolectadas en Bejuma emprendieron el camino hacia La Guaira, donde el mismo equipo de Casa de Pan \u2014junto a los l\u00edderes comunitarios en el terreno\u2014 se encarg\u00f3 de distribuirlas directamente entre las familias afectadas por los terremotos del 24 de junio.
